Judges are looking for inspirational examples of digital innovation, technological robustness and creative originality in any project undertaken within the last 12 months. Entrants will be able to provide detailed examples of their work that demonstrate the extent of their creative thinking and digital expertise while showcasing how they have achieved the main objectives of the original brief and specification. They will also need to provide detailed information on the performance of the project to the client and the intended audience.

Family businesses must be innovative, adaptable and have a healthy culture in place – this Award is designed to recognise and celebrate that success.
The family business must submit the entry form. Nominations from a customer, supplier or employee are welcome and if the family business is nominated by a third party they will be contacted by Dorset Chamber of Commerce & Industry and will be encouraged to submit an entry form.

The biggest asset an organisation has is its people, an employer which invests the time money and effort required to promote and support positive health and well-being are far more likely to achieve its business goals than those which do not. A fitter, healthier, happier workforce can impact positively on productivity and prosperity. Society also benefits from a workforce concentrating on better health for themselves and their families.

This award seeks to recognise a successful Dorset based business who empowers and supports its people to succeed by going above and beyond legal requirements to meet the health and well-being needs of its employees. The winning organisation will be able to demonstrate its understanding and implementation of its health and well-being strategy and programme in action but also be able to validate ways in which it goes above and beyond standard practices. Judges will be looking for an organisation with the ability to inspire others to do the same.

Young Apprentice Ambassador of the Year Award

This award will recognise young individuals who are strong advocates of the Apprenticeships, who can showcase how they proactively promote Apprenticeships as an excellent career choice to other people. Applicants will need to demonstrate how they champion, promote and provide information on Apprenticeships to young people, teachers, parents and businesses.

This may include activities such as attending events such as careers fairs, school assemblies and employer briefings to tell their stories and share what they’ve learned, giving people the opportunity to hear real life success stories first-hand, ask questions and talk openly about what it’s like to be an Apprentice. Added value could include evidence of any apprenticeship starts that have been driven through ambassador engagement.

Eligibility

Members or employees of the current year’s award Judges’ panel are not eligible to nominate or receive this award.
