Bournemouth University and the Institute of Directors through this award seek to recognise Dorset�s best Innovators” Description of the Award from sponsorsFor the organisation most able to demonstrate the development of an excitingly original and innovative product or service to meet an identified market or other economic need. Entry Criteria/EligibilityThe award is open to all Dorset-based organisations whether private, public or voluntary sector, operating for profit or not-for-profit. This category of award will go to the organisation most able to demonstrate successful innovation to meet a local, national or international need. Organisations will be expected to show how they have developed and applied creative solutions to improve performance and directly or indirectly assist the vitality of Dorset. The innovation must have been developed by a Dorset based team and either already be successful or have clear commercially identified potential. It must have been launched or implemented within the last two years. How to enter the IoD Innovation Award, sponsored by Bournemouth UniversityThe official entry form should be accompanied by a written statement, of not more than five A4 typed pages, describing the nominated programme or project including its rationale, implementation and outcomes. The information must be in line with the listed judging criteria. Additional supporting evidence including photographs, press cuttings and endorsements may be included. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to give a short presentation to a judging panel in October 2007.
