A word from the Sponsors

Since 2000 Poole Audi has successfully capitalised on the increasing strength of the Audi brand, showing impressive growth by building and maintaining a strong commitment to the highest possible standards of customer service.  The recent re-development has completely transformed the Poole Audi centre and creates an experience that is accessible and enjoyable to our customers.

In relation to our own success, Poole Audi is aware of the importance of recognising excellence in the region’s business community. For this reason we are delighted to be sponsoring for the first time the prestigious ‘Dorset Restaurant of the Year’ award.

Our involvement and sponsorship of the Poole Audi Eat Out guide, which is produced in association with Poole Tourism, has given us a detailed insight into the challenges of combining high culinary and service standards with commercial success.

We are looking forward to receiving an assortment of applications and encourage nominations from right across Dorset from restaurants of any size.

Award Description

Restaurants must demonstrate outstanding success in their market sector and combine high quality service standards and culinary excellence as well as demonstrating commercial awareness. They must be setting standards which are inspiring to the rest of the hospitality industry across Dorset.

The award for ‘Dorset restaurant of the year’ will go to the establishment that best demonstrated excellence in these areas.

Entry Criteria/Eligibility

The Dorset restaurant of the year award is open to restaurants of any size in Dorset – whether in pubs, hotels or stand alone establishments. Restaurants may wish to nominate themselves or a supplier or customer can nominate their favourite restaurant.

All third party nominations must be made with the full knowledge and co-operation of the nominated restaurant.

Judging will be based on the following criteria:

  • Food and wine
  • Service
  • Value for money
  • Use of local produce
  • Location and environment
  • The whole dining experience

All short listed establishments will be subject to a ‘mystery diner’ after the closing date. The mystery diner will be chosen from a panel of judges with a detailed and varied knowledge of Dorset restaurants.
