It is imperative to enforce how important marketing is in the success and development of any Dorset business, irrelevant of size or turnover. The Marketing & Communications Excellence award aims to highlight those who are raising the profile of their organisations with a quality and ‘impactful’ approach, using any blend of the marketing mix. Description of the Award from sponsorsThe Liz Lean PR Marketing & Communication Excellence Award will acknowledge an individual, team or organisation’s campaign which utilised any discipline within the marketing mix to achieve a key objective, ultimately enhancing the business. Entry Criteria/EligibilityThis will be awarded to an individual, team or company who can demonstrate evidence of marketing excellence in any discipline of the marketing mix during the past 12 months. Judges will be considering: Objectives of campaign - any creativity and strategy. Execution and outcomes - quantifiable success relating to objectives. Judges will also accept entries which focus on specific marketing projects such as campaign planning, brand management, design, and internal communications using the criteria listed to assess. The brief is wide, welcoming the diversity offered within the marketing arena encompassing public relations, direct marketing, advertising, and all other disciplines. The campaign can be low or high budget – creativity and commerciality is what the judges will be looking for. The Marketing and Communications award is open to any Dorset business. Entry is open to an individual, team or organisation whose main work-base is in Dorset. Supporting DocumentationWritten statements, press cuttings, endorsements, case studies, marketing materials, relevant literature which made up any element of the campaign, any research which quantified the campaign’s results. Entry DeadlineClosing dates for Nominations should arrive Friday 29th September 2006. Shortlisted businesses will be asked to give a short presentation to a judging panel in October 2006. The 12th Annual Dorset Business Awards, organised for the very first time by Dorset Business (the Chamber of Commerce and Industry) are now closed for entries.
Judging is taking place during the month of October and if you have entered an award you will be contacted directly by the awards sponsors to let you know if you have been chosen as a finalist.
