The Arts Institute at Bournemouth has been a provider of specialist education opportunities for over a century and is a college with a well established reputation, locally, nationally and internationally. We are renowned for our specialist knowledge in areas of art, design, and media. Our breadth of study options from short courses to M.A. is complemented by our close links with industry and our training and consultancy provision at an international level. At the Arts Institute, we are committed to enhancing the development of businesses within the creative industries and their contribution to the economy. As well as working with new companies, we are excited about working with existing businesses and being able to promote and support creativity. In addition to our consultancy packages, we offer a wide range of other services, such as our standard short courses, and our more intensive professional practice courses, allowing you to bring the creative world into your working environment. We can also help you to develop the creativity of your staff through our staff development opportunities and work place taster courses. We are supporters of Dorset Business, and are sponsoring a creative industries award to encourage and support new and developing creative businesses in Dorset. Description of the Award from sponsorsCreative Industries Award will be awarded to the company who can exhibit continued growth and innovation within the creative industries, defined as art, design and media organisations. Entry Criteria/EligibilityThe award is open to all businesses in Dorset that work within the fields of the creative industries. You can nominate yourselves or an organisation you may have worked with on a creative project. You may have had a web site designed and developed, a new company logo designed or computer training in design software. The nominated company must have a head office based in Dorset.
Supporting DocumentationA two page case study showing how you worked with a client on a live project. A two page development plan, which demonstrates your growth potential. Nominations are now closed
The 12th Annual Dorset Business Awards, organised for the very first time by Dorset Business (the Chamber of Commerce and Industry) are now closed for entries.
Judging is taking place during the month of October and if you have entered an award you will be contacted directly by the awards sponsors to let you know if you have been chosen as a finalist.
