Eligibility

This Award is open to any Retailer with a BH/DT postcode or who is based in Dorset. The Retailer should complete and submit the entry form.

Description of the Award from Sponsors

The Retail Excellence Award will celebrate the success and entrepreneurial spirit of the retail industry.

Entry criteria

The judges will be looking for companies showcasing outstanding achievement, innovative business concept, business acumen and excellence in customer service which lies behind thriving retailers.

Application process

Entry can be either online or paper based.

Online entry

If you are entering on-line you will have the ability to save your entry and log in at a later date to complete if required: Enter the Retail Excellence Award.

Paper-based entry

For paper based entries please download the Retail Excellence Award Entry Form. Please send your completed entry form and accompanying documentation Recorded Delivery to the person named on the entry form.

Supporting documentation

Additional supporting evidence including photographs, press cuttings and endorsements may be included for your entry.

Judging process

All information will be treated confidentially and  will only be circulated amongst the judges.

Judging will be held mid September through October 2013.  A mystery shopper will visit shortlisted retailers during early October 2013.

Closing date for entries is Tuesday 10th September 2013.  Please note this date is final and will not be extended.

Finalists will be invited to attend the following two events as a guest of their Sponsor:

The Meet the Finalists and Sponsors event at 6.30pm-8.30pm on Monday 18th November 2013 (venue to be decided)

The Dorset Business Awards Gala Dinner at 6.45pm on Thursday 28th November 2013 at the Lighthouse in Poole as a guest of their Sponsor.
