Eligibility
 
The use of technology is vital in ensuring that this ethos is carried forward, and those firms that embrace technology will be the ones that succeed and thrive. The Innovative Technology Award provides a fantastic platform to celebrate innovation and promote efficiency, quality and the highest standards of business excellence.

The Innovative Technology Award is open to any business of any size or sector which has a BH/DT postcode or is based in Dorset.

Description of the Award from Sponsors

This award will be presented to the business most able to demonstrate the development of a new innovative technological product or service, to meet an identified market or other economic need.  The Innovation must have been developed by a Dorset-based company and should have been launched or implemented within the last two years.

Entry criteria

The judges will be looking for entrants who have developed a new innovative technological product which has had a positive impact on the business in terms of its customers, suppliers, staff, sales/profits, operations, local community or other. 

Application process

Entry can be either online or paper based.

    If you are entering on-line you will have the ability to create an account and will therefore be able to save your entry and log in at a later date to complete if required.  Complete the entry form on the right hand side which will also give you the opportunity to upload files if you wish

Supporting documentation

Additional supporting evidence including project plans, photographs, press cuttings, endorsements or product literature etc may be included for your entry. All information will be treated confidentially and only be circulated amongst the judges.

 

Closing date for entries is Friday 17th September 2010.  Please note this date is final and will not be extended.

Judging Process

Judging will commence late September early October 2010.

Finalists will be invited to attend the Dorset Business Awards Gala Dinner on Thursday 9th December 2010 at the Lighthouse in Poole as a guest of their Sponsor.
