Does your company listen to its customers? Dorset Business Awards to merit customer-focused companies with the Excellence in Customer Service Award
Good customer service is the lifeblood of any business. Sending away a customer happy enough to return again and to pass on positive feedback to others, is one of the most powerful tools a company can own. To showcase the importance of customer service to the Dorset economy, Nuffield Health Bournemouth Hospital is encouraging firms to put themselves forward for the Nuffield Health Excellence in Customer Service Award in the 20th annual Dorset Business Awards in association with Daily Echo and Dorset Echo.
This Award will recognise the business that can demonstrate across its practices its commitment to providing the very highest level of customer service and in doing so be described as truly customer-focused. The current title-holder is Poole Harbour Commissioners (PHC), and on winning the 2013 Excellence in Customer Service Award, Jim Stewart, Chief Executive of PHC, said: “Winning this award has given us the confidence to move forward positively in 2014. We’ve just applied for planning for a new deep water quay which will dramatically increase the potential of PHC and introduce new customers to the port.
“The Dorset Business Awards has given PHC the exposure that money just can’t buy. We’ve had plenty of media coverage, and as a result have been contacted by many suppliers and customers with messages of congratulations.”
He added: “The Dorset Business Awards is the highlight of the county’s business calendar and hundreds of top businesses attend. Win or lose, it’s an opportunity not to be missed. Do give careful consideration to the category you choose to enter though, as the judging process is not just an assessment of the CEO, it’s an assessment of the organisation as a whole. Enter – what have you got to lose?”
The Excellence in Customer Service Award category is open to any company which has a BH/DT postcode or is based in Dorset. The Award is not restricted to any specific sized company and businesses can nominate themselves or be nominated by customers, clients or suppliers but the business needs to complete the entry form.
