Celebrating the achievements of businesses, the Dorset Business Awards are an accolade to those companies whose vision, ambition and skills have led to new heights of success. The Awards are free to enter and non Dorset Chamber Members can enter a Dorset Business Award.
Best Employer for a Healthy Workplace Award sponsored by Nuffield Health Bournemouth Hospital
This award has been established to recognise businesses that can best demonstrate leadership and dedication to sustain the health and well-being of their workforce to the mutual benefit of the staff and the organisation.
Business Engagement with the Community Award sponsored by Morgan Sindall
The winner of this award will be able to demonstrate specific objectives and initiatives undertaken which engage with the local business community, particularly those that involve employee interaction. Judges will look for evidence of success in the areas of the overall business performance.
Dorset Tourism Award co-sponsored by Dorset Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Liz Lean PR
This award has been established to showcase the success of the Tourism, Leisure & Hospitality sector within the County of Dorset. The winner of this Award should be able to demonstrate effective relationships with visitors and use of innovative methods to encourage retention and referral as well as promoting the wider County.
Engineering & Electrical Apprenticeship Award sponsored by Superior
This award will be presented to the Apprentice who has achieved outstanding occupational progress, has shown practical and theoretical ability and has a postive approach to employment and personal abilities.
Entrepreneur of the Year Award, sponsored by Bournemouth University
The individual or team that win this award will be able to demonstrate the realisation of their Entrepreneurial vision and how it has contributed to the economic and social well being of Dorset.
KPMG Company of the Year Award
All-round business excellence will be the prerequisite of this award. Firms which lead the way in terms of growth, strong leadership, and innovation strategies could be in the running to win this award.
Linking with Schools Award sponsored by J.P. Morgan
The Linking with Schools Award celebrates evidence of successful partnership working between schools and businesses which is essential in developing a number of mutual benefits. The Sponsors are keen to hear from any business or school who is working in such a productive relationship. Nominations will be accepted by both the business or the school involved in the partnership.
NatWest Excellence in Customer Service Award
This Award will recognise the business that can demonstrate across its practices its commitment to providing the very highest level of customer service and in doing so be described as truly customer focused.
Princecroft Willis Family Business Award
Family businesses play an important part in the contribution to the local economy and this award seeks to recognise a family business that has achieved excellence, success and longevity.
