Dorset Business Awards 2007 - Launch Events

The biggest-ever launch of the regions premier business competition, the Daily-Echo backed Dorset Business Awards, took place over two consecutive days (Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th May), heralding the start of another search for the top businesses in the county.

Now in its 13th year, the Awards are acknowledged as the countys top business prize, aiming to recognise the very best of Dorsets business talent. More than 300 of the regions leading business figures witnessed the big launch of this years Awards. The launch event on Wednesday 23rd May took place at the Brownsword Hall in Poundbury and attendees were treated to drinks and a buffet lunch courtesy of Poundbury Systems Limited, sponsors of the event. On Thursday 24th May, Poole Audi added some extra zoom to the official announcement of the Awards in the East of the county by sponsoring the second launch event which was hosted at Twenty on the River in West Parley. Hundreds of balloons were launched into the air to mark the official opening of the 2007 entry process. Ten tickets for the Gala Awards dinner on 29th November were attached to ten balloons and the lucky finders will be provided with one free place at this glittering awards ceremony.

Peter Scott, Chief Executive of Dorset Business, says: The Dorset Business Awards has grown in strength year on year and provide a fantastic platform for businesses of all sizes to be recognised on a wider scale and promote the excellent work that they are doing. The Awards are held to give much deserved credit and recognition to those that fly the flag for Dorset in their respective industries. From the very smallest one-person operations, to large multi-nationals, the Awards are open to all who demonstrate excellence and high achievement. We wish all firms entering this years competition the best of luck!
