Description of the Award

To qualify as BU/IOD Entrepreneur of the Year the individual or team must be able to demonstrate the realisation of their Entrepreneurial vision and how it has contributed to the economic and social well being of Dorset.

Prize

The prize for the winner of this award is a year's free membership to the Institute of Directors which includes:

Complimentary use of meeting facilities in London and across the UK
Access to a huge range of business information, advice and opportunities

Entry Criteria/Eligibility

To enter the company MUST BE Dorset based Trading (not time limited)

The Company can be:

Sole Trader
Ltd Company
Partnerships
Social Enterprise
Charity

Application Process

Entry is on-line only

Short listed companies will be invited to attend a 10 minute presentation with the judging panel based on question 2 and can include supporting evidence if relevant. This will be followed by a 10 minute Question & Answer session.

Judging

A panel of judges will shortlist entries late September or early October 2008 down to 3 finalists.

Closing date for entries is Friday 12 September 2008
