Description of the Award
The 2012 Legacy Award will be awarded to the Dorset business or organisation that can best demonstrate changes and improvements inspired by the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Companies entering this award should be using this opportunity as a catalyst for sustainable long-term growth, benefitting the people, economy and environment of the area and helping to ensure that Weymouth & Portland and Dorset is a welcoming, vibrant and inspirational host for a successful Games.
Entry Criteria/Eligibility
- Entry is open to any company or organisation with an office based in Dorset.
- The company or organisation should have clearly embraced the opportunity presented by the 2012 Games, either as a source of inspiration for development and growth or directly as a business driver.

Judging
A panel of judges will shortlist entries late September early October 2008 down to 3 finalists.
The three finalists will be invited to attend the Dorset Business Awards Gala Dinner to be held on Tuesday 18th November 2008.
Closing date for entries is Friday 12 September 2008
